VAGABOND is a South Korean tv series streaming on Netflix that revolves around the genre’s- crime, spy, action, thriller, etc., Korean series without romance? Nah, this series also has a romantic theme! Vagabond first aired on SBS TV on 20th September 2019 written and directed by Jang Young-Chul and Yoo In-Sik. The producer of the series is Park Jae-sam.
The first season has 16 episodes in total. What’s up with the plot? Generally, a Korean series is famous for its romantic drama but, Vagabond seemed to intrigue a new intensity among the audience with its full pack of action and thriller. The series contains suspense towards the end of each episode and the scenes are filled with numerous intense actions which of course is one of the main reasons for its success. The series particularly has many moving parts and different characters with the constant switching of locations because those are considered to be “trendy” and “cool” by Koreans. Well, it might be!

THE PLOT
Every thriller drama revolves around the themes of crime, investigation, and revenge. Vagabond’s action picks up with Cha Dal Geon who is a stuntman looking for his nephew Hoon. Dal Geon discovers that his nephew is dead in a plane crash. Dal Geon, heartbroken by his death desires to find the truth behind and he embarks on an investigation, joins his hands with a NIS (National Intelligence Agent) named Go Haeri, and works together. Soon they realize that the plane accidents weren’t an accident. Expected huh? Yeah, that is how every crime thriller story begins! But Vagabond is quite different because of its high-budget casting. The characters get involved in political corruption; the romance takes the series to another level.

More than the plot/storyline the characters for the drama has a major role in the path of success for a series. Agree? Hence the series Vagabond focused on the casts which resulted in sterling and high-budget characters. Since the Vagabond has numerous characters let me just focus on the main and a few minor characters. The main casts are Lee Seung-gi who played the lead role and the role of Go Hae-RI was acted by Bae Suzy and Shin Sung-Rok as Gi Tae-Ung. SEASON 2 – EXPECTED PLOT
Season 2 is expected to begin with Dal Geon and Hae-ri uprooting Edward Park’s plan as the previous season concluded Hae-ri preparing the interfere with an international deal. As the first season had an unsatisfactory ending and did not have much of a romantic relationship, the second season is expected to unfold the left-out grievance of the audience.
RELEASE DATE
It is unusual for Korean dramas to have many seasons, hence season 2 of Vagabond remains undetermined. Season 1 had an unsatisfactory ending which led the audience to expect another season. The protagonist Lee Seung-gi has also echoed his thoughts that he is also wishing for the continuation of the story to give a clear ending. Some sources said that the crew has made the show with a continuation of season 2 and the covid 19 pandemic might be the cause for the delay. Yet there is no certain answer or announcement of the season 2 release date. Still, waiting for Vagabond season 2 confirmation and update? Well, it’s better to just wait rather than expecting!
