Godaddy Suffered a Huge Data Breach!

Godaddy has recently disclosed a data breach that impacted the web hosting account credentials of some customers.

The company said that the security incident, which happened in October 2019

This enabled an unauthorized individual to access some customerslogin information that is used to connect to SSH on their hosting account.

This breach was discovered by the company when the security team spotted some suspicious activity in some usersaccounts.

 The company assured customers that the breach did not impactmain customer accounts,” and there was no evidence to suggest that hackers added or modified any files on affected accounts.

Godaddy has reset the account information of the infected users.

 The company is also offering one year of Express Malware Removal and Website Security Deluxe service at no extra cost to affected users.

Affected Customers are also enabled to take free security service of their website.

This service can be used by the customers to check for any potential security issue on their website.

Last year, hackers used hundreds of stolen credentials for GoDaddy accounts to create nearly 15,000 subdomains to redirect potential victims to malicious websites.
