Black Bullet or Burakku Buretto is a Japanese light novel series written by Shiden Kanzaki and illustrated by Saki Ukai and is published under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint.
The series has been adapted into a popular and fun anime with brilliant art and top notch animation. This show belongs to the action and sci-fi genre and has a post apocalyptic storyline attached to it.
The anime show is directed by famous director Masayuki Kojima and is written by Tatsuhiko Urahata.
The first season of this show has a total of 13 episodes based on the first four novels of the series and is currently streaming on leading OTT platforms like Netflix.

PLOT OF THE SHOW
The show is based in the year 2021 and the whole of mankind is ravaged with a deadly parasitic virus namely Gastrea and the whole world is battling with the epidemic.
The people are forced to live within the Monolith walls made up of Varanium, a metal that is said to be able to subdue Gastrea.
But every epidemic has a side effect and the “Cursed Children” were the Gastrea’s. These cursed children were born with the Gastrea virus and had supernatural abilities as a result. And the worst part was that because of the intervention of the Gastrea virus the Cursed Children could only be female.
Rentaro Satomi is the protagonist of the show. He is a second year student in Mangata High School and is also a Promoter in Tendo Civil Security, the society formed to specialize fighting against Gastrea, operating with the pair of an Initiator, who are cursed children and a Promoter, serving to lead the cursed children.
EXPECTED PLOT OF THE SEASON
In this season, an old childhood friend of Rentaro shows up completely out of the blue and before Rentaro could figure out if this friend of his is a friend or foe, he is imprisoned under the charges of a false murder. And his enemies obstruct all his plans of an escape. And even after he somehow escapes from the nightmarish hell hole, he is still not completely free. He is still a fugitive in the eyes of the law and is still hiding from the police who are hot on his tail.
The news of Tokyo being in possession of the Legacy of Seven Stars, forces all the governors of the main areas in Japan came together to attend a summit to discuss the grave dangers they were facing.
They come to a conclusion that it is a state of war but amidst all this chaos and confusion Seitenshi goes missing.
This brand new season promises us a complete action packed show and lots of thrills.
RELEASE DATE OF THIS MUCH AWAITED SECOND SEASON
It is been six years since the last season came out and since then fans has been desperately waiting for the next season. The fans got a good news last year as the show was all set to hit the screens last year in July but got delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At present there is no news about the new release date of this show.
At the moment, all we can do is keep an eye on the online forums for any news regarding the release of this season or wait patiently for the official news confirming the dates of the release from the makers.
