My girlfriend is a gal in Japanese manga/anime series and it is also known as Hajimete no Gal written by Merugu Ueno. The series has been serialized in a monthly magazine called Shonen Ace in November 2015, has twelve collected volumes of Tankoban.
The series is a ten-episode anime tv series aired in July 2017. It is a romantic comedy revolving around the various genres like Harem and slice of life and also highlights the school life love. This series was directed by and produced by Hiroyuki Furukawa Yuki Ogawa and Jotaro Ishigami Ichigo Yamada.

THE PLOT
The first season ‘My girlfriend is a gal’ got a great response and was popular among the people at the time of its release. The series is about a young high school boy named Junichi Hashiba and his relationship in school. The plot begins with Junichi who laments on his faith for being single whereas he survived that the rest of the school is committed. He was made fun of by his friends for being a virgin and they forced Junichi to confess to the girl who is the most attractive in the school.
Yukana Yame is the girl referred to as ‘gal’ and soon she finds Junichis intention. Later like a rapid-fire, the news of the relationship between them spreads all around the school. With all the rumors Junichi’s high school life changes and will never be the same. This series is quite an enjoyable show that deals with light-hearted themes. Season one premiered on 12th July 2017 with a total of 10 episodes which received moderate ratings from the fans.
SEASON 2 PLOT
Season one ended with almost a conclusive part with Yame’s best friend named Ranko Honjo who tries to persuade Yame and separate Junichi and Yame. So, season 2 might begin from this which will be extremely entertaining and different to know about the couple compromising for each other.
The couples are totally different poles and don’t seem to have anything similar. This kind of theme is much welcomed in the current trends. Therefore, if every season 2 gets released, it would reach unbelievable ratings.

We can speculate the possible release date of season 2 by considering that the announcement is yet to be confirmed. Season 2 can be speculated to fall around 2022 but the makers haven’t made any official announcements regarding the release date yet.
