STORYLINE OF THE GAMEPLAY

The game is based in ancient mythology, particularly Greek mythological era and the Norse mythological era. The basic storyline follows the life of a Spartan warrior Kratos who kills his own family after being tricked to do so by his former master Ares, the Greek God of War.

Tge Greek mythological era of the game shows Kratos following a path of vengeance due to the machinations of the Olympian Gods whereas the Norse mythological era introduces Atreus, the son of Norse, as the second protagonist and shows an older Kratos on the path of redemption, which brings the two into direct conflict with the Norse Gods.

The first era of the series is based on Greek mythology and it includes seven games namely God of War, God of War: Betrayal, God of War II, God of War: Chains of the Olympus, God of War III, God of War: Ghost of the Spartan and God of War: Ascension.

The second era of the game is based on the Norse mythology and has onlybone game at the moment namely God of War: A call of the Wilds.

And untitled sequel to the God of War was announced in September 2020 and is expected to release in 2021. Though the makers have made no official announcement regarding the release the fans of this game worldwide is desperately waiting for one.

GAMEPLAY OF THE GODVOF WAR

The series consists of seven single tear only games and one of them includes multiplayer.

All through the first era the games feature a third , fixed cinematic camera with the exception of God of War: Betrayal which is the only installment to feature a 2D side scrolling view.

Throughout the game the player controls the character of Kratos in a combination of hack and slash combat, platforming and puzzle game elements to achieve the goals and move forward in this story.

With such a wide range of games and this series to pick and choose from, it is one of the most played games of all times and also quite loved by all the gaming fans worldwide.
